I see shelf paper as one of those necessary evils*, like toilet brushes & paper towel holders. Blargh.

Until now, perhaps. A company called Chic Shelf Paper has taken the reins and is offering shelf paper that I wouldn't mind people actually seeing. In fact, I would like people to notice, just so that they could comment on how clever I was, matching my shelf paper to my kitchen counters, et al. Don't believe me yet? Check out some of the patterns available.

Handsome, right? And that is just the tip of the iceberg! There are TONS to choose from. Not only that, each pattern can be had as laminated vinyl, fine weave fabric (if you wanted to use it in your cashmere sweater drawer, perhaps), heavy matte paper and satin canvas fabric. Plus, they will cut it to your specifications. Also, (and this may be the most amazing part of all), they will happily do some of their designs in a custom color to match your wall paint or fabric perfectly.

Pretty amazing, hmm? Bet you wish you had thought of it. I do.

(*Evil is being used pretty loosely here. Basically it refers to anything that is ugly but inevitable).

So where is this 'good-looking' paper? Surely you are not referring to the 6 examples seen here...:(

I have to agree with Megan. They hurt my eyes.

Oh my goodness, I've been looking for decent patterns for such a long time. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Great selection.
