We just learned about Portland's Architectural Heritage Center's 11th Annual Kitchen Revival Tour from our friends over at the every-addictive Apartment Therapy. (We can't get enough of their San Francisco and Los Angeles editions!)

this kitchen totally reminds me of the first house we bought - a 1950's st.paul rambler. I wish we had "refreshed" it just like this example. Simple and clean yet elegant.

Love Portland! We try to go there at least once a year. Portland residents are front runners in the effort to do green/envioronnmentally conscious remodel and new builds. The existing homes have great history and architectural detail (just look at the height of the baseboards in this picture!)
