Following up to the preview from my Seattle trip last week, here are some pics from two of my favorite Seattle shops—Watson Kennedy Fine Home and Urban Weeds—both great spots for unique gift ideas for the home, and garden, respectively.

-------------
First stop: Watson Kennedy Fine Home (1022 First Ave, Seattle; 206/652-8350)
-------------

Favorite find: Old-school flash cards (pictured above). I couldn't get enough of these single-word treasures—each just a couple bucks—I love them as wall art, gifts, or desk-top inspiration in the office. There's a priceless nostalgic quality that I just adore.

Second stop: Urban Weeds (4302 Fremont Ave N; 206/632-7680)
----------------

Favorite find: Hortus Miscellaneous: A Gardener's Hodgepodge of Information and Instruction. This intriguing book (pictured below) about random horticulture information is a uniquely quirky gift for gardeners of any kind.
