March preview: Sfgirlbybay

Victoria_4 By Jess Chamberlain, Sunset Home & Design writer
Photographs by Thomas J. Story

Our March issue doesn't hit newsstands until later this month, but here's a sneak peak at the home of one of my all-time salvage style heroines, Victoria Smith—the amazingly crafty and creative woman behind the highly addictive sfgirlbybay blog.

Grab a copy of our "green" themed March issue for some tips from Smith about thrifting (some of her treasures were found curbside!).

I love her work!! She has great style and a perfect eye to re-use things! Wish she would decorate/ rearrange my home!

Can't wait to see the issue, sfgirlbybay is great!

nice! it will be great to see her featured! she's such a great blogger and has a great design sense in her own home. i'm jealous!

i always love her posts… the saarinen table in front of the stain glass windows is killing me… love every room!

Addictive is right! I'm new to SF but I read her blog for months before my move, keeping lists of all the great hideaways and ideas she would suggest! Kudos to Sunset for highlighting her work and home-- and kudos to Victoria for sharing with us!

SUPER CUTE!! Victoria has such simple but great style....not many people can pul that off. I wonder if her place always looks that SPOTLESS....hehe

thank you jess, for the sneak peek!! i am very excited to be a part of sunset.

and thanks to all of you who commented - your kindness is much appreciated!

I love that the article mentions www.etsy.com It's a great site, you can shop "green" by using the geolocator, order locally! Better yet, you're supporting the handcrafts world....whose many materials can be "green" such as handspun wools and more.
